Moms (Dads, Grandparents) have fun with your toddler! Learn to work with your child to help
develop her or his coordination and agility. This class is an introduction to dance with emphasis
on gross motor skills. A special 1/2 hour class mixes little bits of ballet, tumbling and creative
movement  through the use of stories, songs, interactive games and movement.  Mom, Dad or
Grandparent assists child through exercises  and has as much fun as she or he will.    Wear
comfortable clothes!

Creative Movement (4 years old)
Creative Movement, self -expression and imagination make  this a wonderful
introduction to the world of dance.  Here we will start to use "props" for coordination
and creativity skills.  This class helps with motor skills while learning basics of dance.
Ballet shoes are needed. Students perform 2 numbers at recital.

Kinde Combo (5 year olds and beginning 6 year olds)
This class will begin with a short ballet warm-up and continue in the center and
across the floor.  The second part of class will be tap.  Rhythm instruments  will be
added to aid in this class.  Ballet and tap shoes are needed.

Ballet/TapJazz Classes (6-7)
Beginning ballet will start to learn ballet terminology and focus more on technique.   This class
begins with 20 minutes of ballet followed by 20 minutes of tap dancing. A third dance discipline
taught during the last 20 minutes is jazz.   The last 8 lessons will  concentrate on preparing for the
two recital routines: a ballet dance and a tap dance.  Ballet and tap shoes will be needed in this
class.

Ballet (8 and older)
Youth are now ready for a more structured ballet class.  They will have extended time
on the barre, continue in the center and across the room. This class will emphasize
the basic fundamentals which are necessary for all forms of dance.  Body
placement, flexibility, alignment, strength and technique are achieved through barre,
center and across the room.

Clogging (Available through "Just For Kicks", CRAF Center)

Hip Hop
Hip Hop is a dance without any limitations to positions and is an expression of how
the dancer feels.  It is a less structured dance, letting the student give it their personal
hip-hop style.   Class starts out with warm-ups and strength and conditioning
exercises which are key to a good performance.    It continues with combinations that
will be taught step by step and repeated allowing students to follow along.  Students
need to wear comfortable clothing such as jogging pants.

Jazz (9 and older)
This class starts with warm-ups, isolations and body strengthening exercises and
continue  to center and across the room  Strong technique is needed in jazz and we
will focus on this.  As students progress, they will learn different forms of Jazz;
Broadway,  Latin, Lyrical and the great Classic Jazz.

Pointe (must have instructor approval)
When a dancer becomes physically and mentally strong, she is eligible for Pointe
work.  The student must be muscularly developed enough to handle the control
needed in Pointe.  Students must be advanced ballet students to be considered for this
